Starline

Privacy Policy

Effective: 9 October 2026 (beta)

This policy explains how Starline ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use Starline: the websites at starlineodds.com and beta.starlineodds.com and the tools on them (the "Service"). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us.

1.2 Information collected automatically. The time and network (IP) address of sign-ins, failed sign-ins and account changes; and server logs of requests (IP address, browser type, time, and the page or feature used), kept for a limited time for security and fixing faults.

1.3 What we don't collect. We don't ask for sensitive information, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How we use your information

We'll only send you marketing with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Page scripts can't read it and it's never used for advertising. Some settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on that device. We don't use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies. If you block cookies, you won't be able to sign in.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with bookmakers. We disclose it only:

5. Overseas disclosure

Your personal information is stored on servers in Sydney, Australia, and we don't currently send it overseas. If we introduce paid plans, our payment provider may process payment details outside Australia; we'll update this policy before that happens and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Security

We protect personal information with reasonable measures, including HTTPS encryption, passwords stored only as one-way hashes, optional two-step sign-in, signed sign-in cookies that page scripts can't read, limits on repeated sign-in attempts, and restricted access to our servers. Backups are kept in Australia. No system is completely secure, so tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

7. How long we keep it

8. Access, correction and deletion

You can see and change most of your details in Account & security. To get a copy of your information, correct it or delete your account, ask us through the feedback form in Starline (Help → Questions, bugs and feedback, or Send feedback at the bottom of any page). We'll respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. If you're in the UK, you also have rights under the UK GDPR, including to object to how we use your information and to receive it in a portable format.

9. Children

The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we'll delete it if we learn we have.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about your privacy, contact us first through the feedback form in Starline (Help → Questions, bugs and feedback, or Send feedback at the bottom of any page) and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you by email or on the site about significant changes.

12. Contact

During the beta, contact us through the feedback form in Starline (Help → Questions, bugs and feedback, or Send feedback at the bottom of any page), or through the person who invited you. We'll add our business details and a contact email here before any paid plans start.
